Director of Marketing
The Marketing Director will work directly under the Vice President of Marketing to manage the marketing campaigns of the RGMG. The Director will be responsible for communicating with other student groups and creating strong captions for social media posts to assist in promoting RGMG events.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison with faculty and internal stakeholders
- Lead marketing campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and activities of the RGMG
- Coordinate and collaborate with other members to increase the group's reach throughout the community
- Organize the team structure for event promotion
- Raise awareness about the RGMG throughout the Ryerson community
- Build the online following of RGMG across all platforms
- Assist Vice President of Marketing with special projects as needed
Other Duties:
- Attend and participate in all RGMG meetings and events
- Pitch the group's initiatives to students, faculty, professionals, etc. in classrooms and at promotional events
Skills and Qualifications:
- Clear academic standing
- Technical skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Suite
- Ambitious, outgoing, and approachable personality
- Strong, creative writing skills is an asset. Proficient in writing and verbal communication
- Must be able to work independently and as a team
- Public speaking skills are an asset
- Previous marketing experience is an asset
- Previous experience within a student group is an asset
- Interest in global management and/or majoring in Global Management Studies is an asset
- Must be able to attend all events and commit 5-10 hours per week
