FInance Associate
The Finance Associate will report to the Vice President of Finance and work in order to facilitate the organization’s financial operations. These operations will include managing financial documents and being the liaison between fellow executives and other committee members.
In addition, the Finance Associate will be responsible for communicating externally to other organizations such as TRSS and RSU. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to uphold financial responsibility and to ensure that funds are properly handled in order to ensure the sustainability of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain financial paperwork including budgets, invoices, as well as cheque requisitions
- Assist in creating expense budgets, record keeping, and maintaining accuracy, and transparency of financial information
- Develop strategies to ensure financial resources are used appropriately within the budget
- Assist Vice President of Finance with special projects as needed
- Arrange and prepare RGMG’s student group funding requests and presentations
- Effectively present funding requests to multiple organizations
- Provide support to the Finance Committee where needed
Other Duties:
- Participate in group meetings while providing input on the status of upcoming events and feedback on past events
- Pitch the group’s initiatives to students, faculty, professionals, etc. in classrooms and at promotional events

- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to streamline workload
- Reliable time management skills
- Experience in Microsoft Excel is an asset
- Interpersonal and Analytical Skills
- Time commitment: 5-10 hours per week
