RGMG is hiring two Directors of Corporate Relations and three Corporate Relations Associates for the 2020-2021 academic year. Description for both jobs are below.
DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE RELATIONS
The Director of Corporate Relations will report to the Vice President of Corporate Relations to collaborate, maintain and grow RGMG’s current sponsorships and partnerships. Directors will also take the initiative of obtaining new corporate partnerships that align with the three pillars of the RGMG. Directors must communicate the value that RGMG has to offer sponsors and focus on meeting the needs of specific companies. Directors will work closely with the RGMC Director and Industry Gala Director. Directors will also act as a professional representative of RGMG to any internal and external events.

- Maintain all of RGMG’s current internal and external sponsorships and partnerships
- Obtain new corporate sponsorships and partnerships that align with RGMG’s values
- Independently cold call/email current and potential sponsors to maintain strong relationships for RGMG
- Aid in creating both generic and company specific proposals for sponsors
- Aid in the maintenance of accepting and thanking sponsors for event attendance, collaborations, and donations
- Contribute to collecting research for sponsor companies and industry professionals
- Provide support to RGMG’s Corporate Relations where needed
- Work with RGMC and Career Fair Directors
- Aid in creating both generic and company specific proposals for sponsors
- Respond to all RGMG and internal related emails and messages within 24 hours of being received
- Communicate with VP of Corporate Relations and team members regarding all corporate relations activities
Other Duties:
- Attend all committee and RGMG general meetings
- Attend and participate in all RGMG events
- Attend committee and general socials
- Attend any external events (i.e. conferences, case competitions) if need be
Skills and Qualifications:
- Confident with the use of Google Apps (Docs, Sheets etc.)
- Proficient in writing and verbal communication
- Negotiating skills are an asset
- Must be able to work individually and in a team
- The use of sophistication and professionalism when communicating with sponsors and industry professionals
- Capable of taking initiative towards completing assigned tasks and meeting deadlines
- Must be willing to commute to campus throughout the school year to participate in meetings and events as necessary with exception to prior notice of unavailability
- Must be able to commit to 10-15 hours per week to RGMG
- Highly committed and dedicated to the success of RGMG
- Previous experience within a student group and/or outreach are an asset
- Clear academic standing
Corporate Relations Associate
The Corporate Relations Associate will report to the Vice President of Corporate Relations to collaborate and successfully grow RGMG’s sponsorships. An associate is responsible for contributing to the maintenance of RGMG’s current corporate partnerships as well as assisting in the development of obtaining new partnerships. Contributions include updating contact lists, reaching out to sponsors for in-kind donations, contacting keynote speakers and panelists and attending any external events. Associates will be focusing on building and obtaining new partnerships as well as growing their own set of “corporate relations” skills.
